Free AI Auditor: GEO and AEO technical check

Updated on

Paste a URL and get two scores: GEO (whether AI systems can access, read and understand your site) and AEO (whether your page answers questions in a way a search feature or assistant can extract). It is a technical diagnosis: it does not predict or guarantee that you will be cited.

Important: the scores are my own technical criteria, not Google's or any AI company's. According to Google's official guide, optimizing for Google's AI features is still SEO; Google does not require structured data for that or use files such as llms.txt. The auditor helps find access, format and clarity problems; it does not measure whether you will be cited.

Step by step

How to use the Auditor

  1. Paste the address of the page you want to check.
  2. Review the GEO score and the AEO score, with the breakdown of each category.
  3. Fix first what prevents the page from being crawled or indexed (access and noindex), then what costs the most points in content and format. Structured data helps clarify, but Google does not require it for AI.
  4. Audit the page again and compare the result.

Frequently asked questions

What is the GEO and AEO Auditor?

It is a free tool that checks whether a page meets the technical conditions for search engines and AI systems to read and understand it. It measures structured data, crawler access, direct answers, FAQs, format and dates, and gives one score for GEO and another for AEO.

Does the Auditor guarantee that an AI will cite my page?

No. It is an automated technical review: it measures conditions that help an AI read and understand your page, but no tool can guarantee that ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity will cite it. It helps you find what to fix first, not predict results.

What is the difference between the GEO score and the AEO score?

The GEO score measures whether your site is readable and trustworthy for AI: structured data, crawlers, structure and authorship. The AEO score measures whether your content answers questions directly: short answers, FAQs, extractable formats and dates. They are two independent checks.

How much does it cost and what data does it ask for?

The check is free and only asks for the page address. If you want the full report by email, it asks for your name and business email, with your consent, according to the privacy notice. Results are kept for 30 days and then deleted.

Are the scores from Google?

No. They are technical and format criteria I defined from good practices. Google does not publish an AI-readiness score, and no third-party tool has access to its internal systems. Use them to find problems, not as proof that Google or an AI will show you.
